My son started playing with his Leapfrog Quantum pad when he was about two years old. He mostly likes to touch different parts of the pictures with the stylus pen to hear the sounds it makes. He's still not so interested in the actual games that the Leapfrog book suggests he play.

One of the new games Leapfrog has is an activity center called a Zippity High-Energy Learning System The Zippity gets children ages 3-5 hopping, dancing, jumping and bonking the interactive bopper to their favorite characters. You hook it up to your TV and then choose your game. Leapfrog offers a Disney Pixar Cars Zippity game where kids race with Lightning McQueen around Radiator Springs as they use their body motions to learn to read.

Online reviews give a thumbs-up for the Disney Pixar Cars video game; this one available for Wii. You can also take it with you in this Gameboy version. This game is not going to give serious gamers much of a challenge, but it is easy enough for younger kids to use with a super-easy mode.

Check out this Disney Cars Race O Rama video game available for Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo DSi. It was released in October, 2009 and is another fast-paced racing game where Lightning McQueen goes against Chick Hicks for the Race O Rama trophy. They must find various racing events and place in the top three to progress to the next stage.

Race O Rama has mini-activities like Mater racing around a junk yard or tractor tipping. It sounds like a really fun game and parents give their stamp of approval.

You'll also want to check out Cars: Mater-National. It's available for Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, Play Station 2 and for Macs. This video game is suitable for elementary scool age kids, with simple controls and customized skill levels. In Mater-National, players get to explore a whole new expanded Radiator Springs along with 20 mini-games. Six new international competetors are introduced in this game, hosted by Lightning McQueen's best friend, Mater.
