Lightning McQueen Die Cast Lenticular Eyes

What are lenticular eyes you might ask. Well, as you move the car to a different position, looking at Lightning McQueen's eyes, they follow you! He becomes more personable and brings him to life.

Lenticular printing uses technology that interlaces one or more images together (in this case, the eyes positioned left to right), and when the surface that the image changes its angle with your vision, the image changes.

This is a very popular die cast series, with many versions of the Lightning McQueen car.

Race O Rama Die Cast Series

The Race O Rama series ran from November 2008 to October 2009. This series is very hot with collectors. These Lightning McQueen have models from several scenes from the movie, some of which look really funny, like Spin Out, with tires over his eyes, the Tumble Weeds model where he wears a green weed "wig" and Bug Mouth from that scene when he's following Sally Carrera up the mountain to the waterfall and is trying to impress her.

These remaining die cast Lightning McQueen cars toys come from various collections in one gallery. The first couple are Color Changers where warm or cool water changes the paint color. For this feature, these cars aren't made of metal, but a special thermal plastic.

The Supercharged series is known for brilliant showroom detail and the World of Cars has a huge variety of die cast vehicles and ran between November 2007 and October 2008. I like the Tongue McQueen in this series!

Then there are a few Cars Toons Lightning McQueen die cast cars, based on the animated short films created for Disney Channel, Toon Disney, and ABC Family.

The two Desert Art series are collector's items, very finely made die cast cars and lastly, and appropriately, the Final Lap series is the last die cast models to be released until Cars 2 comes out.
