Dory is Hilarious!

I absolutely love Dory in Finding Nemo, voiced by Ellen DeGeneres. She is so quirky yet caring at the same time. And she's almost irrepressibly cheerful. She sings to Marlin when he's feeling down - "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim, swim..."

I think my favorite parts with her that get me laughing every time are when she's speaking "whale" to the whale. It basically involves her elongating every word and using extremes of pitch, and it sounds hilarious. Marlin, and therefore the viewer too, don't believe that she can actually communicate with the whale, but she does seem to receive a response.

Having said that, I think my favorite line from Dory is when she finds some random sea creature and says "I shall call him Squishy, and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy."

She calls out random comments while she's sleeping too. I think the funniest is "yes, I'm a natural blue". It's the tone of voice. It's classic.
