At the time Cars was released, Disney also brought in over $5 million in merchandise. And it's no wonder. There are SO MANY Cars toys it's hard to know where to begin. So as a guide to break it all down for you, there are linked pages at the bottom of the page for sections so popular you need an entire page for them, such as Lightning McQueen cars, race tracks, puzzles and die cast cars. Cars Themed Play SetsThere is a variety of Disney Cars movie toys playsets, and most of them have been sold through Toys R Us. However on their website, the only one available was eligible for in-store purchase only, and that is no guarantee that it will be in stock if you happen to live near a Toys R Us. Check your local store. The only other option to buy Disney Cars movie toys is through third party sellers online. They will be a bit more expensive and some of these playsets have gotten terrible reviews. The Leaping Lamp has included ONLY those Disney Cars movie toys that have gotten better reviews. And WAIT! You can get the new Disney Cars 2 toys and playsets here too! Many of them are so new that they don't have reviews yet, but if you want to be one of the first to get them, then you've come to the right place!   Cars 2 Playset - Spy Mater GarageThis Cars 2 playset looks like loads of fun! The spy garage set includes Mater with a telescope, a jet pack and radar dish, a disguise and a rocket. Not many reviews for it yet, but one parent wrote gave it 5 stars and said that her son loves it so much he slept with it the first night. Like I mentioned earlier about some of these playsets, you can get it cheapest at ToysRUs, but if you can't get to one, you should take the opportunity to buy it here,  
Cars 2 Siddeley the Spy Jet TransporterWho can forget that exciting chase scene at the airport where Grem and Pacer try and get Mater and Finn McMissile? Then Siddeley the Spy Jet swoops in at the nick of time to shoot at the baggage train to clear their path. Then McMissile pulls Mater up into Sid's ramp just as he takes off and escapes. WOW! This playset
  Cars 2 Mack Truck PlaysetTag along with Mack and Lightning McQueen on their world-wide adventures. Mack's trailer opens up to a fully-stocked garage with lots of gadgets for recreating scenes from the movie. What I like about this set vs. an older version is that the Lightning McQueen diecast car is included, whereas the other set you had to buy McQueen separately. Good thinking, Mattel! No reviews are out for these Disney Cars movie toys yet, but it does have some FaceBook likes, so that's something positive. If you buy through this link,   Cars 2 Action Agents Battle Station PlaysetA very exciting scene in the Cars 2 movie was with the Combat Ship and Finn McMissile. That ship looked so gigantic and amazing. And who can resist the cool Finn McMissile? Open the Combat ship and secret spring-loaded action points and a launcher are revealed. Finn McMissile diecast vehicle and launcher are included in this set. Kids will love the launching fun. This Cars 2 play set has not gotten many reviews, and the only one it has gotten isn't very good. But the product did receive a couple of FaceBook Likes. Still not sure about it? Pitstop Lightning McQueen Disney Cars Play Set  If your child enjoys the pit-stop scenes from the Cars movie, he or she will really like the 16-piece Pitstop Lightning McQueen Play Set. Accessories include tools, car parts and an 18-inch Mack truck, who serves as the pitstop station and Lightning McQueen himself. Get this playset for a reasonable price here. The following Disney Cars Movie toys playsets make up the town of Radiator Springs with different shops as part of the town. You can collect them and make your own Radiator Springs! Cars are not included in the sets. Flo's V8 Cafe Play Set  After Mack, other popular Disney Cars movie toys are Radiator Springs play sets. You can pretty much re-create the entire town with your favorite scenes! The first beautifully done playset is Flo's V8 Cafe. Flo's is a favorite hangout in Radiator Springs, and there are several versions of this playset to choose from. This set is the deluxe version that opens up into three different levels and also has flashing lights. You'll need to buy batteries and none of the cars are included. You will be pleased to know that this play set has gotten a 4½-star rating from happy customers - which is saying a lot. Some of these play sets are expensive for cheaply made materials. You can purchase this exclusive deluxe playset here. If you have a more conservative budget, you won't be disappointed. Here is an awesome playset called Flo's V8 Cafe by GeoTrax Radiator Springs Curio ShopLizzie the old Ford runs the Curio Shop in Radiator Springs. This playset has a light-up sign, a ramp and launcher and a breakaway fence. It also has a 4-star review from a satisfied customer. Buy your Radiator Springs Curio Shop playset here for a reasonable price. Ramone's House of Body Art Color Shifters  Then you can mosey over to Ramone's House of Body Art Color Shifters You will need Disney Pixar cars die cast Color Changers for this playset because it uses hot and cold water to change the "paint job" on each car. What fun! But aware that this is one wet toy, so either put towels down or play with it outside. This play set got a 3-star average review, so it is a rather neutral recommendation, however, you can purchase this playset for 22% off retail price! Isn't it cool how you can have all of Radiator Springs inside your own home? Cars Themed ToysYes, I know it's mind boggling, the sheer selection of Disney Cars movie toys available. Below I've included some choice toys that don't belong in the die-cast, games or puzzles categories. It's a sort of miscellaneous group that can't be labeled. Many of these toys are out of production, but be prepared for an onslaught of new Cars merchandise to flood the market beginning in 2011 for the release of Cars 2. In any case, you'll be sure to find all the best Disney Cars movie toys here! R/C Cars 2 ToysLittle kids and adults alike love RC cars and challenging themselves with races and obstacle courses indoors and out. When you see these Disney Cars 2 Radio Controlled toys, you're going to be amazed! Let's get started.   Pictured at right is the Air Hogs Cars 1:43 Scale Laser Remote Control Lightning McQueen. I mean does that sound impressive or what! Meant for 8-12 year-olds, this set is IR (infrared) laser controlled for precise maneuvering. This toy is HOT! Finn McMissile Air Hogs Get ready to rumble with this 1:24 Scale Remote Control Air Hogs Lightning McQueen! Got a younger child who loves RC cars? For kids age 3 and up, I've found some Disney Cars movie toys that are called EZ Drivers, which offer simple remote control devices and larger more cartoonish cars. Little ones will learn how to drive forward, backward, right and left with the easy transmitters, which will boost confidence and have more fun as they recreate their favorite Cars 2 scenes. You can get a spectacular red Lightning McQueen here Shake 'N' Go RacersThere's a great collection of Disney Cars movie toys from the Shake 'N Go series by Fisher Price. These cars get their power by shaking them and the more you shake them the farther and faster they go. These cars are intended for children ages 3 and up, although many parents buy them for their two year olds with perfectly fine results. You'll need 3 AAA batteries for these toys and many of them are becoming rather expensive online. The cheapest Shake 'N' Go cars I've found are at My Toy Box but you will get the widest variety on Amazon.   One of the most popular, of course, is Lightning McQueen. This new Shake N Go from the new Disney Cars 2 movie makes engine revving sounds and he says some phrases. Buy McQueen here Want a more retro version? This Lightning McQueen racer has the paint job Ramone did for him in Radiator Springs in the first Cars movie. Ratings across the board for this particular product have been 4-star reviews and you can buy yours here.   You're going to love this new Disney Cars 2 Finn McMissile Shake N Go Racer! This one will go really well on the new Cars 2 Shake n Go Disney Cars race track. You can get this new Finn McMissile here for a great price. Finn McMissile's protogé is Holley Shiftwell. This awesome purple car A character you're not going to want to miss is the hotshot Formula 1 race car Francesco Bernoulli! Another Cars 2 character is Professor Z. With this Shake N Go racer, Professor Z has one big eye piece and a rack on the top. What a villain! Perhaps the ultimate of the Disney Cars movie toys has go to be Lightning McQueen / Cars 2 Power Wheels! Your little race car driver can sit inside Stickers himself and drive around the neighborhood with the new flames and hood design. Sharing and taking turns are good habits to have because everyone's gonna want a ride inside this cool car. Lightning McQueen Power Wheels has gotten amazing 5-star ratings from parents who rave about how much excitement and joy their children had. If you purchase through this link,   For maximum fun, of the really cool Disney Cars movie toys you're not going to want to miss is the Fast Talkin' Lightning McQueen. This is a large-scale car with animated eyes and a vinyl-animated mouth. Fast Talkin' Lightning McQueen says 30 hilarious phrases by Owen Wilson, the actor who played McQueen in the Cars movie. This Fast Talking Lightning McQueen can be programmed to perform 15 different stunts. Parents have been pleased with how the car has turned out with their kids, average age is 5 year-olds. Kids absolutely love the Fast Talkin' Lightning McQueen and have to fight off their siblings to play with it. Customers found that this toy isn't too loud and is easy for their kids to use. Fast Talkin' Lightning McQueen comes with a programmed demo so you can learn how to use the commands. Reviews have been great for this toy and parents give it 4 stars. OversizedAnother collection of Disney Cars movie toys that kids adore are the Oversized cars. They are perfect for children who are around 3 and 4 years old because of their larger than matchbox sized Cars movie die cast vehicles. Parents have given some overall good reviews about this series. Here's Mack. He's 4 inches across and just the right size for little hands. Buy Mack as a gift for your little Pixar fan for a 47% savings here. Stormin' Lightning McQueen is a popular toy. In the movie when McQueen was dreaming about being sponsored by Dinoco, he was flying like a fighter jet and launching missiles. This version of Lightning McQueen is a fun toy and you can buy it for a 47% discount. Game Rugs  Once you have some Disney Cars movie toys to play with, you've got to get your child the Cars game rug! These work especially well with some Disney Pixar Cars die cast cars, and toddlers especially love playing on top of these brightly colored mats. The first pictured on the right is a newly released Cars 2 play rug! Featuring scenes from Italy, Tokyo Japan, and London, England, this rug has an exciting race track that twists and turns. Of course you've got to make sure your kiddos are safe, so get them a matching helmet and kneepads - they'll be the envy of the neighborhood with matching gear. If you have the money to spend on quality, I'd recommend the BMX version of the Lightning McQueen bicycle. The regular version is cheaply made and I gave it a 2-star rating from shoddy workmanship. However the BMX bikes have consistently gotten 4 out of 5 stars. You can get the 12-inch BMX bike here Toddlers and preschool-age children love to zip around on scooters and the best scooters for kids this age are the three-wheeled kind because they can learn to balance without falling over.
