Finding Nemo Video Clip:
Marlin Takes Nemo to School

In the Pixar film Finding Nemo, Marlin loses his wife Coral and all their eggs in a barracuda attack, except for one, whom he names Nemo. We now understand why Marlin is so terribly overprotective of his son, the only survivor of all he loves.

Nemo shows us his "lucky fin" that is much smaller than his other fin and this is likely due to Nemo's egg being damaged during the barracuda attack. The little clown fish is excited about life and looking forward to starting school. And Marlin is worried and anxious.

This video clip illustrates Marlin's overbearing, almost annoying behavior toward his son. Nemo's all he's got and he clings to his son desperately, wanting the best for him but afraid to let him loose a little and explore his world.
