Finding Nemo Characters:
The Tank Gang

When Nemo is caught by scuba-diving dentist Phillip Sherman he's taken to Sydney, Australia, to Dr. Sherman's dentist office. Inside his office the scared little clownfish is kept in an aquarium, where he meets some really wonderful Finding Nemo characters called The Tank Gang. Let's meet them, too!

Gill

The only dream Gill has is to escape the from the tank and be free. Gill's tried before, only to land on some dental tools and the result was some bad scarring on his body and one of his fins was disfigured in the accident. Gill is the leader of the Tank Gang and he's probably the oldest and wisest of the fish. Gill is a Moorish Idol and you can see what a real one looks like here.

Bloat

Bloat is a wonderful tank character - he's one of my favorites in this film! Bloat is a puffer fish and when he is frightened or becomes angry, he puffs out like a balloon, hence his name, Bloat. When this happens, he relies on one of his friends to let the air out and return him to his normal shape.

Peach

An absolute cutie is Peach, a reddish-pink sea star who sticks to the side of the aquarium. To be able to talk to her tank mates, Peach has to pull her head and one of her arms from the tank, lean back and twist around. She has the interesting ability to understand humans, making it easier to plan an escape for the Tank Gang. She hates it when Darla taps on the glass on the side of the aquarium.

Gurgle

Gurgle is a pretty purple and yellow royal gramma fish who likes to keep the aquarium CLEAN! So imagine his discomfort to learn of the plan to jam the cleaning filter and make it nasty as can be!

Deb/Flo

Deb is a blue damselfish who isn't the smartest fish in the tank. She's got cross eyes and when she sees herself in the mirror she thinks her reflection is her sister named Flo.

Bubbles

There's a treasure chest in the aquarium and every time the lid opens, bubbles come out. One Finding Nemo character is a fish who is obsessed with the bubbles, so he's named Bubbles! Bubbles is a yellow tang.
